What can be done to help back pain and sports injuries? Varying methods can be used, but I use ultra sound, laser, faradic electrotherapy, cupping and massage, or any combination of these during your visit. Between visits I may give you some exercises and/or stretches (nothing too strenuous though) to do while at home. I would suggest an initial three visits, where the injury will be assessed, and the progress of the treatment monitored, normally three should suffice in "Kick starting" the body to repair itself, but on occasions especially with more severe problems, more treatments may be needed, but this is entirely up to you - Andy Shutt
This is a piece of equipment which can stimulate muscles while the body is at "rest" you may have seen these adverts for these promoting fantastic abs or thighs
In a clinical environment they are used as a method of building muscles which could have been lost due to injury
For example, if you have had a knee operation your quads will have weakened. Normal exercises for this will mean putting excessive pressure on the knee, which could be counter productive. The EMS treatments will build the quads without exerting pressure on the knee
The G5 is a well practised form of mechanical massage which is used for a really deep massage. This is of particular use in thigh, buttock and back problems
